FAITH = BELEIVING

Heb. 11:1 Faith is the substance of things hoped for
the evidence of things not seen. (It does not require understanding)

Even though we don’t understand the workings of the telephone system, we believe it, use it and dial long distance numbers.

Though we don’t understand how the water rushing over Hoover Dam creates electricity, we do turn on our lamps, micro-wave ovens and air conditioners.

Though we don’t understand how taking three pills in the morning, one for our heart, one for our headache and one to build bones, we do take them.(Haven’t you wondered how thy know where go?)

Why then do many say, “I can’t believe or have faith in God, because I do not understand Him or His Word, the Bible.” He’s the one who created the universe, set the turning speed of our planet so that we would have day and night, fixed warmth from the sun, just right for plants to grow and we would neither freeze or bake. Some say, “Where was He on Sept. 11th?” Just where He was on Sept. 10th. He didn’t move, human behavior did.

Because of unbelief, we’ve been trying to eliminate Him from many areas of our lives and society. Why do we so quickly want to know where He is in times of disaster?

Here are a few statements from the lips of Jesus. Do you have faith enough, in Him, to believe them?

He said,”I am the way, the truth and the life, no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” John 14:6. and “I am the Light of the world, he that follows me shall not walk in darkness.” John 8:12.

Peter gives us a few words to encourage us in our faith:

I Peter 1:3,4. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to his abundant mercy, hath begotten us again, unto a living hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you. My soul, wait thou only on God for my expectation is from him. Ps.62:5
